Skybird Records: They just love making music

SkyBird Records is being launched with the aim of delivering affordable top quality music backing and lead soundtracks for Film and TV media. With its network of professional musicians and producers it can accommodate any genre requirement from Classical to Rock/Pop through to Jazz.

We are catching up with Founder, Tom James 

What made you launch Skybird Records?

Covid has been a tough time for musicians…. But one positive that came out was the broader adoption of online collaborative tools for musicians around the world to produce music together remotely. 

After successfully producing some albums in this way with keyboard player in Singapore,  drums in london, singer in Ireland and guitar in usa,   I could see the opportunity to be able to project manage and coordinate as a producer talent all over the world under the banner of Skybird  records in order to deliver very cost effective backing tracks and title music etc for indie film makers and tv producers etc.

We would love to support indie film makers and documentary makers who want a professional finishing touch.  Right now We just want to get our music applied and used in the media industry so flexible on how we are compensated.

We just love making music… so this is a great way to do this and support new and existing producers out here.
